Sleeping In Heavenly Peace…

This little doggie wandered onto this Nativity Scene one night and no one had the heart to shoo him away.  He was a stray just trying to get warm (rumor has it there was no room at the Inn).  This was too precious to not post.

  1. That is so sweet, I hope someone took the puppy in.

  2. Poor thing. Though very nice that people actually let him/her stay. Thanks for sharing.

  3. YOu know what, that is a very profound image. We honour Christmas, the season of giving, yet we leave so many animals in dire straits. (“we” being humans, society, Americans)Not you or I – we obviously love and pamper our animals. But so many people…working for an animal charity, I see it so much. There are over 130 rabbits at one of the local shelters.

    • I hear you. It is so sad. The bad thing is that after the holidays so many of the pets that were given as gifts will probably be sent to shelters or end up on the streets. *sigh*

  4. I am with LB! Awwww! And I Hope someone takes him home! Although I remember from being out there in the desert, that there are a lot of strays. One was sleeping in front of a restaurant my son and I went in, and we assumed it was the owner’s dog. But in the parking lot, it followed us. We gave her some food we had in the car. We were so sad we could not take her…we were in a rental car and had flown there from North Carolina.

    • I’m not sure where this was taken. One of the contractors from work send the picture to me. She is in Texas. Hopefully someone gave this little one a good home for Christmas. We do have lots of strays here though. All our dogs and our inlaws dogs are from the pound. That was so nice of you to give the dog some food. She must have sensed that you were good people and decided to follow you.

  5. Awwww…precious! Sleep tight, little one!
