Autumn In January

Yesterday I stumbled across this red leaf on the sidewalk as I left work. It looked so pretty and bright there just resting where it had landed on the sidewalk.  It’s been touched up a little to enhance its vibrant red color.  Most of the leaves are off the trees right now but will be returning in another month.  In December the leaves here turn mostly yellow so it was quite a treat to catch this simple red leaf yesterday.

  1. Very nice! You have a good touch for color. Of course, here in Boston, it’s being January in January!

  2. I love the picture! Wow!! Sounds like really nice weather. XD I’m envious.

    • Thanks Alicia. It is supposed to be close to 80 degrees today. I’ll take it! 🙂 I grew up in the Boston area so I know all about what you are going through right now there.

  3. Beautiful.

  4. I love it! So simple, and the colors contrast beautifully.

  5. I don’t know why, but I am kind of intrigued by the whole that is located exactly over the seam of the street tiles.
    Yes I am a weirdo 😛

    • Well we both must be weirdos then because my eyes are drawn to that little hole as well. 😉 So much perfection in it’s imperfection. I’m sure a little bug probably had lunch there at one time or another.

  6. Bright against the stars of the sidewalk pits. Pretty!!

  7. That is beautiful Monsoon! I love it!

  8. Ah, that’s beautiful … a treat for my eyes. Thank you!
