Bake Quest Ideas Needed for March

It’s that time again.    I have a few things to throw out there.  While we usually choose three ingredients for the month would anyone be open to maybe selecting a certain item, like homemade bread or some kind of regional cuisine?  If not we could stick with our three ingredients.

Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Ideas?  I’m all ears!  🙂

  1. I would also try the merengue. did I just write the Dance rather than the cookie?

I would love some recipes that would allow me to USE quinoa more. It is so good for me, but yet I rarely use it.

    • Good question. LOL. I’m afraid I wouldn’t know the difference. 😉

I was watching Dr. Oz last week and they were saying that quinoa is such a great source of protein. I had no idea.

  2. Sweet potatoes? Coconut?

  3. what about Amaranth? It can be ground into flour and be used in bread and pancakes. 🙂

  4. Banana chocolate bread? http://www.joyofbaking.com/breakfast/ChocolateBananaBread.html

Looks sinfully good. After the winter we’ve had, we’re entitled.

  5. I don’t know what your Bake Quest rules are, but for the longest time I’ve been trying to find a recipe for meringue cookies that was the same as the one I learned in Home Ec class when I was 11. I don’t think we used cream of tartar. They were simple (none of that extra decor or chocolate – just pure, white goodness). I would definetly try that one.
